WHSH Museum Rules:

To help ensure the safety and preservation of the historic site, we ask that you follow three basic rules during your visit to the museum:

  1. Do not touch the artifacts. Please keep a two-foot distance from all artifacts, including pedestals, walls and outdoor sculptures.
  2. No food or drink in The W.H. Stark House. Guests are permitted to eat and drink outdoors. Food and drink are permitted in the Carriage House lobby during special events only.
  3. Bags must be stored before visiting the historic house. Complimentary lockers are available in the Carriage House.

·      Firearms or weapons

·      Articles of clothing that may be taken as profane, vulgar, racist, sexist or sexually suggestive

·      Outside works of art

+ The Carriage House and grounds are ADA accessible. Staff are happy to provide a virtual tour of the historic home inside the Carriage House.

*Service animals are allowed and welcome anywhere in The W.H. Stark House.

** Florist-treated, approved flowers are welcome for special events.

 


Restricted Behavior

We encourage guests to explore The W.H. Stark House, Grounds and Carriage House, and express themselves appropriately. For the safety and preservation of the artifacts and our guests, we do not allow the following:

  • Children ages 16 and under unaccompanied by an adult
  • Piggyback or shoulder rides​
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Running or horseplay

 

The W.H. Stark House reserves the right to refuse or revoke the admission of any visitor whose conduct violates these guidelines.
