Step inside history during a guided, three-floor tour of The W.H. Stark House!
The W.H. Stark House welcomes visitors on Wednesdays, Fridays and select Saturdays for FREE Guided Tours.
Guided Tours provide small groups of up to eight guests the opportunity to experience the remarkable 1894 Queen Anne home of Miriam Lutcher and William Henry Stark. Visitors explore all three floors of the 14,000 square foot home at the lead of an expert tour guide. The intimate tour experience allows visitors to encounter the history of Orange, Texas at the turn of the 20th century and of the fascinating people who lived and worked in the home.

Important Guided Tour Information:
- Audience: Guided Tours are designed for guests ages eight and older. Guests with children younger than eight are encouraged to visit during Open House events and children's programming offered throughout the year.
- Reservations: Walk-in visitors are welcome; however, we cannot guarantee entry to guests without a reservation.
- Group Tours: Groups of more than eight guests can be accommodated by request. Please contact Katherine Leister at kleister@starkmuseum.org or (409) 883-0871 to schedule your group tour.
- Accessibility: Guided Tours require navigating 44 steps throughout the historic home, including six steps to access the front door. First-floor tours are available by request.
- Bag and Photo Policy: Guests are required to store all purses/bags, food and drink and personal items in complimentary lockers located in the Carriage House for the duration of the tour. Photography is allowed without flash. Selfie sticks and tripods are not permitted.
