Toast Cup/Vase

    Toast Cup/Vase

Artus Van Briggle (1869-1904) of Van Briggle Pottery designed this distinctive Art Nouveau toast cup/vase in Colorado Springs, Colorado, circa 1902. It is glazed in sea-foam green with a relief of a maiden or mermaid as well as a shell decoration. This piece is especially significant for the artist, as it was designed and signed only two years before his death.
