    This American Hupmobile Roadster was made in 1908-1909 by the Hupp Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan. The 1,100-pound automobile has a 4-cylinder engine, sliding gear transmission, two forward speeds, a gravity fed rear fuel tank, and an 86” long wheelbase. It was owned by H.J. Lutcher Stark, who used it while attending the University of Texas in Austin and later at Roslyn Ranch in Rand, Colorado. It was placed in storage in Orange in the 1950s and restored by Ronald E. Collins (American 1929-2006) in October 2003. It was placed in the Carriage House collection in April 2005.
