Harriet Whitney Frishmuth (American 1880-1980) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 17, 1880; she died in 1980. Frishmuth studied in Paris and was a student of Rodin. She also worked in New York. She was known mainly for her work in bronze and created an impressive body of work.
Frishmuth’s work is exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Indianapolis Museum of Art, DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, and Huntington Museum of Art, West Virginia.
